Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) Game Lab, a centre focusing on gaming research and education, is seeking an Associate Producer to join our development studio located in Changi, Singapore.


We create opportunities to seed new innovators, entrepreneurs and innovations for Singapore by training the next generation of game developers through our unique Game Innovation Programme (GIP) and workshops. The SUTD Game Lab is a key element of Game Research, Education, and Training (GREaT), funded by the Singapore National Research Foundation.


Job Description:


                   Administration and Reporting


Working closely with the project manager in


  • Planning, building and maintaining the administrative structure to ensure smooth operations within the lab with proper housekeeping.
  • Maintaining government relationships, external key stakeholders and reporting processes.
  • Preparing and tabulating key reports, coordinating budgeting process and managing procurement processes in line with host organization.
  • Supporting Training & Outreach projects and events.
  • Monitoring lab expenses, asset management, and budget.
  • Working closely with the host organization on related processes and projects.


Game Production


You’ll be

  • Handling multiple demands from superiors and coworkers, maintaining professionalism with climate changes and displaying finesse when working under adverse conditions
  • Defining and tracking the project to schedule and milestones in areas such as design, art and engineering
  • Managing the process from design through code release by closely tracking and analyzing project schedule and milestone goals
  • Assisting with implementation and demonstration of business analytics and strategic analysis within the game
  • Contributing innovative, entertaining and exciting ideas towards game production and development
  • Creating interesting playable levels for game prototypes from existing design documents
  • Developing level design tools and also mechanics for the game prototypes
  • Spearheading the conceptualisation and execution of the Lab’s training programmes to meet  the targets set
  • Facilitating GIP teams and product advisors through sharing development experience and insights in small team discussions
  • Solving issues for team members, and preparing and managing team hardware/software needs
  • Acting as the primary communication point between members of the team internally
  • Coordinating and running weekly planning meetings
  • Manage localization and QA tasks during the end of the title



Business Development


  • Supporting the Game Lab in business development
  • Providing inputs to the development and teams to focus production efforts and decision‐making
  • Researching, identifying, and initiating contact with leading players in the games eco‐system and figuring out a way to partner with those players
  • Gathering market intelligence to ensure lab’s competitiveness and capitalizing on market opportunities to identify trends, new games genres and platforms, and developing new ways to ensure sustainability
  • Creating summary reports for key stakeholders as well as assisting in presentations



Desired Skills and Expertise:


  • Tertiary education with a minimum of 5 years proven track record
  • Developed or helped produce at least one game
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hardware and software game industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills
