Description:

As a senior administrator of EPD, your role is to work with internal Faculty Committees in providing operation support on the on-going Pillar activities and coordination of all interfacing projects. This is a key role in supporting the Pillar's operation commitments, and knowledge of tertiary academic infrastructure will be beneficial. You will report to the Deputy Director, and be part of a pool in the administrative team supporting faculty and associated projects. You will also be involved in liaising with international corporations, agencies, research and educational institutions on preparation of collaborative ventures.

On-going activities would include working with Pillar senior management in developing business presentations, proposals, writing and managing publicity content as well as coordinating various Pillar events.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide support to the development of EPD committee project(s) to time
  • Provide professional, consistent and effective administrative support to the faculty including finance and procurement related matters
  • Ensure tasks are executed in compliance to the University's policy framework

 

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • A recognised degree in any discipline with at least 3 years of experience in an academic. research or institution of higher learning environment
  • You should have an analytical mind and the ability to communicate in a persuasive and clear manner
  • Independent. adaptable. self-motivated and resourceful
  • Must be an excellent team player with good people skills
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable

  • Degree in Engineering,
  • Degree in Management or Business
  • Teaching/ lecturing experience
