You will be part of the Facilities Management team in the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Facilities and be responsible for the management and maintenance of the campus facilities.

 

You will lead a team of Associates and out-sourced service providers to ensure that the day-to-day management of facilities, maintenance support services, processes and frameworks and delivery of key performance indicators (KPI) are consistently kept at a high standard to support our campus operational requirements.

 

Responsibilities :

•Plan, support and execute comprehensive facilities management programs including fault reporting, trouble shooting, assessment, providing solutions, testing and commissioning of equipment and liaising with vendors for the : ◦Campus energy distribution system including High/ Low Tension (HT/LT) infrastructure network, renewable energy sources, generators, power storage facilities etc;

◦Building services such as lifts, escalators, hoisting equipment and dock levellers;

◦IT cable infrastructure and PBX telephone network;

◦Campus master clock system and

◦Lightning protection system

•Lead the campus energy management programme including control systems, management of metering and energy usage monitoring to internal users and external tenants, lead sustainability initiatives for saving energy, managing procurement of energy and liaising with Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore Power (SP) and appointed Energy Retailer.

•Manage the gas supply network on campus and liaison with City Gas.

•Provide project management support for electrical related fit-outs, renovations and upgrading works by ensuring that works are monitored and co-ordinated to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meets the University's quality standards and contractual requirements.

•Responsible for the contract administration of the respective vendors including meeting contractual obligations, specification reviews to ensure cost effectiveness and competitiveness and processing of payments to vendors.

•Provide advice and support for University research or academic projects, when required.

•Contribute as part of the team in the BCA Greenmark certifying process.

•Preparation of management reports and tracking of KPIs.

 

Requirements :

•Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent;

•At least 6-8 years of related facilities management experience preferably in institutional, educational, research or large scale developments with experience in maintenance of HT infrastructure.

•Familiar with local Code of Practices, Building and Fire Safety regulations.

•Knowledge of BCA Greenmark and WSH-Bizsafe requirements will be an added advantage.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and function well in a team.
