Job Posting for Deputy Manager (Internship), Career Development Centre

The incumbent will be a member of the Career Development Centre, providing Internship opportunities both locally and overseas for students of Singapore University of Technology and Design. The incumbent is also expected to support signature events such as Industry Networking, Industry Nights and Recruitment Talks.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • The incumbent will be a member of the SUTD Career Development Centre and supporting Internship and Career opportunities, in areas of Masters for Architecture, Local and Overseas Internship.
  • Identifying internship/career opportunities and cultivating relations with prospective employers
  • Supporting the administration of Structured Internship for Architecture and Sustainable Design, Local and Overseas Internship
  • Co-ordinating the development of internship by ensuring students are successfully matched to the companies.
  • Assisting with the systems infrastructure of the portal with recommendations on database development and maintenance. Carrying out of UATs for Change Requests and developing new work flow.
  • Preparing and making reports on employment analysis and market trends.
  • Ensuring that the students successfully complete their internships with the timely submission of reports, evaluation assessments, printing of certificates and the showcase at the end of the Structured Internship.
  • Working closely with new and existing partners on having them take on the next cycle of students
  • Assisting students in making informed choices of their careers, by analysing students’ needs and aspirations, helping them to be more equipped for the working industry
  • Maintaining familiarity with the SUTD education and possessing a deep understanding of the related professions with SUTD’s pillars

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Interested applicants should possess the following :

  • A recognised university degree
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience in Education, familiar with Industry Trends
  • Comfortable in delivering stand-up classroom training and also mentoring students in smaller groups
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating collaborative relationships with students and industry
  • Good track record in coaching and mentoring. Must enjoy working with young adults
  • Certified Profiling Tools practitioner and Career Development Facilitator will be an advantage
  • Good event management skills and able to work independently
  • Strong writing and administrative skills
  • Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good presentation and public speaking skills
  • Adaptable, resourceful and self-motivated. Work experience in engineering or architecture discipline will be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and determined to achieve goals
  • Dynamic personality, highly driven and committed
