Career Coach, Career Development Centre
The incumbent will be a member of the Career Development Centre, providing Career Guidance and Job Placements for the graduating cohort and recent graduates. The Career Coach is also expected to support signature events such as Industry Networking, Industry Nights and Recruitment Talks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Assisting students in making informed choices of their careers, by analysing students’ needs and aspirations, helping them to be more equipped for the working industry
Helping students to realise personal and career goals
Providing individual and group career development, job search guidance and placement
Providing feedback on resume and cover letters and preparation for job interviews.
Developing and planning career essential workshops for students through personal delivery of classroom training and also recommending good trainers
Maintaining familiarity with the SUTD education and possessing a deep understanding of the related professions with SUTD’s pillars
Developing and maintaining strong marketing strategies to attract students to attend Career Development Centre’s events and services
Enhancing the awareness and visibility of the Career Development Centre through the Career Guide
Tracking the development and employability of the students/alumni
Interested applicants should possess the following :
A recognised university degree
At least 4 years of relevant working experience in an Institute of Higher Learning, coaching students in career planning and conducting career workshops or relevant knowledge as a HR practitioner
Comfortable in delivering stand-up classroom training and also mentoring students in smaller groups
Demonstrated success in cultivating collaborative relationships with students and industry
Good track record in coaching and mentoring. Must enjoy working with young adults
Certified Profiling Tools practitioner and Career Development Facilitator will be an advantage
Good event management skills and able to work independently
Strong writing and administrative skills
Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
Good presentation and public speaking skills
Adaptable, resourceful and self-motivated. Work experience in engineering or architecture discipline will be an advantage
Ability to work independently and determined to achieve goals
Dynamic personality, highly driven and committed
