Deputy Manager, Student Finance (Contract)

Key Responsibilities

 

  • To ensure smooth day to day operation of Student Finance and Accounts Receivable
  • To manage the tuition fees billing to students and other billing to customers, sponsors
  • To prepare the monthly/yearly closing of accounts and submission of management/financial/aging reports and reconciliation schedules
  • To prepare and ensure grants claims, statistics, and other ad hoc reports as required by funding agencies are submitted on a timely basis
  • To assist in the budgeting process including preparation of financial, management reports and receivables/cash flow analysis
  • To support the finance administration of student financial assistance schemes such as tuition fee loans, study loans and student overseas travel programmes and scholarship or bursary allowances
  • To assist in the User Acceptance Testing of system implementation/enhancements
  • To support new initiatives to improve the finance operations and documentation of the standard operating procedures and processes
  • Liaise with auditors and funding agencies on grant certification audits, internal audit and statutory audit matters
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in finance operations including handling accounts receivable
  • Experience in the Education industry, handling student billing matters, will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana and PeopleSoft Student Administration System and will be an added advantage
  • Independent and resourceful worker as well as an excellent team player with good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to cope with dynamic situations, multi-task, and work in a challenging environment
  • Hands-on with an eye for details and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
