Head of Digital Learning Capability Centre
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
As Head of Digital Learning Capability Centre (Innovation Manager), you will report to the Deputy Director of SUTD academy and be responsible for overseeing and driving the development of the new Digital Learning Capability Centre. You will develop new innovative solutions for learning and training, establish key working processes, develop sustainable business models within DLCC. You should be a creative thinker who can facilitate collaboration, experimentation, and problem-solving among teams.
The job scope entails the below, including but not limited to:
- Strategy and vision: Define and align the DLCC’s strategy with SUTD Academy’s objectives to innovate and develop new learning solutions for Continuing Education and Training. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand CET market trends, learning needs, and competitive landscapes to develop a long-term vision.
- Development and Roadmap: Drive the entire learning solutions’ development lifecycle, from ideation and prioritization to trials, execution and release. You will lead development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions while maintaining a clear roadmap.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication, alignment, and coordination throughout development. You act as a liaison between different teams to drive collaboration and achieve shared goals
- Partnership development: You lead the engagement to cultivate and maintain strong partnership with stakeholders including Training Providers, enterprise L&D practitioners, IHLs, edu-tech solutionists etc, for adoption and trials of new innovative learning solutions created.
- Build Knowledge: You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and data on the practice and adoption challenges of solutions applied, as well as identify factors enabling tech-enabled learning/training. You will assimilate these insights through various programmes to build digital learning capability for impactful CET delivery.
- Programme Development: Conceptualise new programmes and initiatives to strengthen and increase impact in CET community, particularly in translating successful learning innovations into feasible, implementable solutions for wider adoption and proliferation of sound practices and solutions by training providers.
- Lead and supervise teams in grant and finance management, tactical workplan, oversee progress for key milestones implementation to achieve goals and objectives of DLCC
- Any other matters as necessary including the cross-department projects within the Academy
Interested applicants should possess the following:
- Relevant Degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in related fields of adult learning and education technology, preferably in programme conceptualization, evaluation and improvement
- Strong strategic, analytical thinking and sense-making capabilities to drive innovative capability development initiatives
- Strong experience in operational management of innovation activities and initiatives, e.g. incubator or accelerator or start-ups, especially in education industry, will be highly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to set and achieve strategic objectives through performance management as well as evaluate and achieve partnerships to promote innovation efforts
- Proven track record in establishing partnerships to deliver on corporate objectives and key performance indicators, analysing emerging industry applications of learning technology
- Proven people management capabilities, with strong networking and interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, engage and motivate staff to achieve organisational goals
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated track records of strong project management skills
- Creative, dynamic and resourceful with relevant network and contacts
- Team player with a high level of initiative and able to work independently and under pressure
