Head of Programme (Design and Artificial Intelligence)
POSITION OVERVIEW
SUTD’s DAI programme aims to produce graduates who seamlessly integrate AI with design innovation. As we expand our offerings with a new MSc DAI for Enterprise in 2025, we seek a dynamic leader to drive these programmes forward, ensuring they remain at the forefront of education and industry relevance.
The Head of Programme–Design and Artificial Intelligence (HoP-DAI) will join the SUTD leadership team to shape and evolve the programme’s strategic vision. The ideal candidate will have an established career in design, a demonstrated interest in applying generative AI, and the ability to lead academic and industry collaborations. A passion for education and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programme Leadership: Shape the evolution of DAI programmes to align with AI advancements and maintain strong industry relevance.
- Academic Excellence: Mentor faculty to foster innovation, research, and collaboration across disciplines.
- Industry Collaboration: Work closely with industry partners to ensure programme relevance, curate cutting-edge content, and support work-learn opportunities.
- CET Development: Design and manage Continuous Education and Training (CET) courses based on core DAI content.
- Community Engagement: Uphold and contribute to SUTD’s D.AI.Tech philosophy, working with DesignZ Leads and other community stakeholders.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Proven leadership in design with practical applications of generative AI.
- Strong academic standing or comparable industry role with experience in educational programme management.
- Demonstrated success in fostering innovation, research, and industry partnerships.
- Effective team management with the ability to inspire faculty and students.
- Experience in developing and managing undergraduate, postgraduate, and CET programmes.
