Job Description:
We would like to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to aid our team in the development of a custom 3D printer. The machine would require a complex tool swapping system for custom built extruders. Furthermore, it will require automation mechanisms to increase production volume and efficiency 
•    Design and develop a 3D printer, including the kinematics, electronics, and thermal components. Generating a BOM of all parts required based on knowledge of 3D printing systems. 
•    Generate a detailed CAD model that shows the assembly process of the machine, to be provided to suppliers for the purchasing of parts. 
•    Generate custom G-Code to accommodate for the tool changing  
•    Generate custom G-Code for the automation mechanisms 
•    Include safety precautions for the multiple extruders and build plate 
•    Optimise the design as the project progresses through troubleshooting design flaws during testing, allowing for a more reliable printer.

•    Familiarity and experience assembling and upgrading FDM systems

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. 
 
Experiences:

3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with building customised 3d printer experience and related AM skills
