What Your Job Will Be Like
Dr. Liu Xiaogang's research group is currently seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher in computational chemistry to join their team. The primary focus of this position is to model and design organic fluorophores and probes for bioimaging and biosensing applications, as well as molecules that exhibit room-temperature phosphorescence.
As a member of our team, the postdoctoral researcher will work collaboratively with both computational chemists and experimentalists to develop a deep understanding of various molecular systems, identify design rules, and create high-performance fluorescent and phosphorescent organic dyes with tailored properties.
This position is offered on a one-year basis, with the possibility of renewal (to three years or even more). The successful candidate will be offered a highly competitive salary package commensurate with their skills and experience. Qualifications We Require
Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field
Published evidence of scientific contributions
Qualifications We Desire
•    Strong passion for research
•    Proficient in programming languages like Python, MatLab, or other similar languages to process large batches of data.
•    Good understanding of photochemistry, photophysics, and biochemistry.
•    Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work in a team.
•    Familiarity with mainstream computational software such as Gaussian, MolPro, TurboMole, or Q-Chem.
•    Experience in modeling conical intersections would be an added advantage.
