Job Description
We are seeking applicants for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow position in 2D material device simulations (ONLY theory and simulation). The successful candidate will apply density functional theory and quantum transport simulations to study 2D materials, their heterostructures and their device applications. The successful candidate will investigate the performance characteristics and limits of 2D materials and their heterostructures for conventional electronics (field-effect transistor, magnetic tunnelling junction) and emerging unconventional brain-like device applications. The position will also involve collaboration with experimentalists.
Essential job requirements
- PhD in computational/theoretical Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong expertise in density functional theory and nonequilibrium Green function (NEGF)simulations
- Good understanding on electronics and brain-like devices
- Proven publication record
Additional requirements (optional)
- Machine learning technique for material research
- High throughput computational search and screening of 2D materials
- Some prior background in TCAD and semiconductor device design process.
