The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a Research Fellow (RF) in the Pillar of Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD).

Responsibilities:

The RF will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and his study team in the areas of 5G O-RAN. Duties include setting up a 5G O-RAN network on software-defined radios (SDR) and conducting cutting-edge research on RAN acceleration and optimization, including literature survey, research problem ideation, system building, and research report composition. The RF will also need to work closely with other team members and outside partners.

Qualifications & Experiences:

Master’s degree or a PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent from a well-recognized university in a relevant area.
Programming skills in C/C++ or Python or MATLAB.
Strong software engineering skills.
Experience in research.
Willing to learn 3GPP specifications during work.
Familiarity in software-defined radio (such USRP or equivalent), 3GPP 5G specifications, and O-RAN framework.
Relevant publications on edge computing, 5G, and ORAN.
