Job Description

We are seeking 2 Research Fellow (RF) positions to carry out research activities in a multidisciplinary topic to understand the quantum AC transport for 2D materials based electric contact and electronics over a wide range of conditions in terms of voltages, applied AC field, temperature. The activities include one or more of the following topics.

  1. Multidimensional Modeling of AC contact resistance for vertical and edge contact.
  2. Quantum effects in Maxwell equations in nanometer scale dimensions
  3. Quantum transport of 2D materials under light-matter excitation
  4. Modeling of metal-insulator transitions at different temperatures


Job Requirements

Applicants for this RF position should have at least a PhD degree (within 3 years) in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or Material Science. The preferences are for candidates who have significant research experience with good publication records. The technical requirements are:

  1. Strong skill in mathematical modelling and numerical methods
  2. Strong in quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, and Maxwell equations
  3. Experience in using simulation software.
