Research Fellow I
The Language and Social Cognition Lab at Singapore University of Technology and Design is seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow to work on research projects on human-robot teaming and cognitive load modelling. The goal of the projects includes developing a human-aware task planner that facilitates effective collaboration between a human operator and a diverse team of robots for exploring complex environments, as well as optimizing task deployment using cognitive load measures and models. Our approach involves developing a computational model of the human that accounts for their intention, workload, and capabilities. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge to design, conduct, and analyze experiments that utilize eye-tracking data to investigate human behavior in human-robot interactive contexts.
Qualifications
- PhD in cognitive psychology, computational cognitive science, or a related field.
- Experience in the design and implementation of experiments using eye-tracking technology.
- Familiarity with eye-tracking platforms (e.g., Tobii) and software/package for analyzing eye-gaze behavior.
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., R, MATLAB).
- Experience with machine learning or computational modeling of eye-gaze data is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in publishing scientific papers and presenting research findings.
Application Materials
Please submit a cover letter describing your research interests, prior work, and related experience, CV, up to two representative papers (published or preprints), and contact information for two references. Applicants will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
