Research Fellow on SNN Hardware Acceleration

The research group led by Asst. Prof. Angela Bo Wang (https://sites.google.com/view/bowang/home) at Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore invites applications for the position of Post-doctoral Research Fellow on hardware acceleration for event-based vision.

 

In collaboration with the National University of Singapore and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the group aims to develop a Spiking Neural Network (SNN)-based hardware accelerator specifically designed for event-based vision (e.g., depth estimation, optical flow estimation) to achieve optimal energy efficiency. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science with a strong background in VLSI Circuit Design or Computer Architecture. Experience in chip design or computing architecture design for AI hardware acceleration is a strong plus. The candidate can benefit from access to first-class research facilities.

PhD Scholarship on SNN Hardware Acceleration

The research group is also seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the team and work in the field of hardware acceleration for event-based vision. The PhD candidate should major in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science with a strong background in VLSI Circuit Design or Computer Architecture, and be self-motivated and proactive in research. Research experience in digital integrated circuits design, chip architecture or FPGA-based embedded system development is a strong plus. IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL is required for students whose undergraduate studies were not in English. The PhD candidate will receive a full scholarship covering tuition fees and monthly allowance and have access to first-class research facilities.
