The Office of Digital Learning Office (ODL) is a newly established office under the Office of Provost. It is currently led by an Associate Provost focusing on new digital educational practices and technologies to support the University’s 2030 Learn and Work Framework. One of the key components of the 2030 framework is to provide digital learning to support a Learn and Work ecosystem seamlessly, development and training programmes of new critical core skills as part of the pre-employment training (PET), new forward-looking cyber-physical platform for the SUTD signature’s team-based teaching and learning and continuous education training (CET) for adult learners will be explored and developed.

The 2030 Learn and Work Framework also aims to support new form of cyber-physical learning where cyber students can learn in a safe environment at anytime and anyplace especially in real time without compromising much of the learning objectives, outcomes and experience than their counterparts in a physical class. Similar understanding will be established for cyber instructors.

The ultimate goal of ODL is to continuously develop new digital learning platforms that push the boundaries of future learning with improved fun and joy in team-based teaching and learning. Such new educational platforms and technologies will set a new benchmark and standard for personalized learning for both individual and customed team-based members.

The Office of Digital Learning is seeking potential candidates with high energy and passion. The candidate will be part of the Library Team that supports the acquisition and management of digital content, manage digital initiatives, and provide digital learning services. The candidate should be adept with technological innovations and have background in learning analytics

The candidate will be part of a lean team who will have the unique opportunity of playing a critical role in empowering our students, staff, faculty and researchers in their learning, discovery and innovation journeys:

 

Responsibilities:

-              Develop and conduct information and digital literacy sessions to students, researchers, and staff to equip them with the skills to exploit the materials and digital services.

-              Provide training on the use of edtech tools and campusX platforms

-              Develop eLearning tools that will help users in their journey of learning and discovery.

-              Do data analysis for continuous improvements of the services and contribute to ODL initiatives such as campusX.

-              Candidate with good data analytics skill and knowledge is preferred but not absolutely necessary

-              Contribute to the acquisition and development of digital collections & services.

-              Conduct research consultation to help students develop skills to conduct research and formulate research strategies according to their needs.

-              Conduct research to support key initiatives and strategic goals of the institution.

-              Provide research analytics services to SUTD management through provision of research/performance impact report as well as provide consultations/trainings to faculty, staff and/or students on the use of citation tools to generate citation report, research impact report. 

-             Serve as the liaison to Pillars and work collaboratively with faculty to provide services to support their course preparation and teaching. Gather resource requirements for teaching and ensure that they are provided on a timely basis.

-              Define appropriate policy to ensure effective services and maintain appropriate outcome measures.

   

Requirements:

-             Degree holder with library, research & training experience

-              Knowledge of data analytics

-              Good interpersonal & communication skills

-              Knowledge of Information Sources especially e-Resources to support teaching and research

-              Experience in conducting information and digital literacy skills training

-              Good team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
