You will be part of the Campus Development team in the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Facilities (OCIF). Your primary role will be to project manage new developments, A&A works, renovation and minor improvement projects. You will also support the facilities management team in managing builder’s works when required.

You will report to a Manager and work together with our consultants and contractors to prepare the tender specifications for procurement and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and meets the required key performance indicators (KPI).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to determine spatial and functional needs of the project and to incorporate into the design specifications including proposal of interior finishing etc.
  • Engage and manage consultants and qualified persons (QP) if required to develop and prepare construction drawings, specifications and submissions to relevant government agencies.
  • Carry out procurement of goods and services for the works based on the University’s procurement policy including preparation of requirement specifications, evaluation and drafting of the recommendation report.
  • Project manage fit-outs, renovations and upgrading works to ensure timely completion of projects and complies to the University's house rules, requirement specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage good rapport with internal and external stakeholders and attend to any feedback during the course of the works.
  • Manage the contract administration process including meeting contractual obligations, specification reviews and timely certification and processing of payment claims by consultants and contractors.
  • Carry out handover of completed projects to the facilities management team including management of the defect liability period (DLP), consolidation of documents such as warranties and manuals and in resolving any contractual dispute with contractor in relations to calling on warranties.
  • Ensure compliance of OCIF procedures and checklists.
  • Manage contractor applications for permits to work (PTW).
  • Conduct system audits and site inspections.
  • Work as part of the cross-functional team in supporting other functional roles managed by OCIF.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
