Project overview: This project aims to develop perception algorithms for underwater vehicle navigation. The perception task requires improved visual input in murky waters and apply informed sampling techniques for limited on-board storage for data collection. 

Job Responsibilities:

+ Data management and augmentation for training denoising models
+ Develop denoising techniques for murky underwater videos
+ Informative sampling of the data for efficient data storage onboard the underwater vehicle
+ Demonstration of the denoising and informative sampling algorithms onboard the underwater vehicle
+ Active participation in field and lab trials for data collection and validation using an underwater vehicle

Job Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Robotics or Computer Science
+ Proficient in deep learning and computer vision techniques (GANs)
+ Proficient in Python and PyTorch
+ Knowledge and experience with Linux and git is a must
+ Knowledge and experience with ROS and Gazebo is an advantage
+ Good written and verbal communication skills in English
